BOSTON, MA  (January 20, 2000) –  The January meeting of the Litigation Support Software User Group (LSSUG) featured a presentation of CiteIt!, a new software application that seamlessly integrates with a user’s word-processor to create accurate legal citation.  Greg Boesel, President of Sidebar Software, made the presentation to an audience of representatives from several of Boston’s biggest law firms.  He demonstrated how the company’s software enables legal professionals using Microsoft Word or Corel WordPerfect to instantly create accurate legal citation conforming to The Bluebook’s formatting and style rules.

LSSUG members were shown how CiteIt!’s simple interface allows the user to fill in a set of text fields and pull-down menus to create an accurately formatted citation without tedious formatting.  "Because CiteIt! makes citation information easy to insert into a legal brief or memo, you can cut your time spent on citing a legal document in half," said Boesel.  He went on to show how notes and keyword information can be added to each citation source, which allows a user to organize legal research and makes it easier for partners, associates and paralegals to collaborate in the legal writing process.

Boesel concluded his presentation by stating, "As law firms come under pressure from clients to reduce legal expenses and try to retain quality employees, CiteIt! offers a time and cost savings solution which will increase efficiency and improve job satisfaction.  By reducing the time spent on mundane tasks, legal professionals can focus on substantive legal issues and adding value to their relationships with clients."
